WDR's piping and mechanical division performs first-class process piping work with certified pipe welders and fitters on staff. We are not a broker who subcontracts the welding out — the crews who fabricate your spools and the crews who install them in the field both work for WDR. That single line of accountability is why plant managers and general contractors along the Gulf Coast keep calling us back.

We handle the full scope: takeoff and material procurement, shop fabrication of pipe spools, field routing and hanger installation, weld testing and documentation, tie-ins during outages, and system flushing and hydro testing before turnover.

Shop fabrication, then field installation

Fabricating spools in our shop instead of in the field is what keeps schedules honest. Controlled conditions mean better weld quality, faster throughput, and far less congestion in a live plant. Our fabrication shop turns out piping for scrubbers, vessels, and process systems alongside our structural and duct work, so a single mechanical package can be built under one roof and delivered to the site ready to install.

Equipment setting and rotating equipment

Piping rarely arrives alone. Our crews routinely perform pump and motor alignments, equipment setting, and precision leveling as part of the same scope — including chiller installations and the connecting piping that ties new equipment into an existing system. Handling the mechanical set and the piping together removes the finger-pointing that happens when two contractors share a tie-in point.

Industrial service conditions

Our piping experience spans pulp and paper, chemical processing, power generation, and heavy manufacturing — facilities where a failed weld is not an inconvenience but a shutdown. We have performed this work for clients including ExxonMobil, International Paper, Georgia-Pacific, Kraton, Celanese, and Florida Power & Light.
